Bilstein 6112 up front at 2” setting. 5100 in rear with stock coils for now. Sitting maybe 0.5” low in the rear, but Icon 1.5” coils are on the way.

Icon 1.5” lift coils were installed today. Sitting at 39” in the rear and 38” in the front. Loving the amount of rake it has now. Next up, new shoes.

Just finished mine. Went with Bilstein 6112 in the front and 5100 in the rear. Fronts set to 1.6. Wanted to make sure that I did not have any issues with CV joints or four-wheel-drive as some of had. Also left the upper control arms stock. In hindsight I may have been able to go to 2.0 and still have a little rake but I can always change it later. So far this set up really feels amazing. So much better than the stock shocks. Would highly recommend.

Before and after.

If I could leave my trucks stock I might have standard gears but I know myself better, but then again I would of bought a 6 cyl if I was really concerned about gas mileage I guess. I used to buy 4.10s and ran 35s so in the end being I commuted alot at 65mph I was turning the same rpms as the guy with standard 3.55s and stock tires . It all depends what you want to do with your truck and look like doing it . I preferred the the taller 4x4 look and still had great performance and mileage . Transmissions were a bit of an issue back in 2000 also so not laboring the engine causing excessive down shifting because of it needed to be kept in mind also. If I have a hemi I want all that goes with the better part of 400hp or I'd bought a 6cyl. But thats me , hard to beat the options gears open up especially with the front diff these trucks came with ,welded in ring gear who ever came up with that idea... . 3.55s snuck by me on the last Ram , won't never happen again.

What's is the thing above your cap ? is it a roof tent ?

It’s a wedge style tent integrated with the cap itself. You can access the sleeping platform by moving panels in the ceiling of the cap. It is the Platform XL model from Go Fast Campers.

Front is set to 1.6 per the Bilstein 6112 instructions. Left me with about 1.25” of rake. Could have gone to 2.0 but thought I would try less spring preload and less cv angles. Very happy with it.

What size tires?

They are stock sized Yokohama 275/60/20 Wildpeak AT3. Been great so far. Smooth for an AT tire with very little road noise. If I did it again, would have gone 275/65/20 but I got a hell of a deal on these that I couldn’t pass up. All 4 for $758 installed and balanced.

Well, now I’ve been reading that the 3.21 rear end doesn’t like 35s and will hunt 7/8 gear on the highway.

I don’t have the truck here right now, but I’m pretty sure it has the 3.21. It’s a 2017 Longhorn 4x4.

I’m running 34s with my 3.21s and it is doing great. It appears to be the sweet spot if you want to avoid the 7/8 gear hunting IMO.
