Another 4.7 to 5.7 swap

Good morning Dodge gods. I'm having quite a bit of trouble with my Swap and I was wondering if y'all could lend me a hand. I'm going from a 2003 Dodge Ram quad cab SLT with power pedals Infinity system I believe it's the sport package. Like everyone else I'm having trouble with the wiring harness. I've got the BKK throttle body cable Style already. I'll post pictures of everything that I have I'm just tired of buying harnesses and ecu's internal and external fuse boxes only to see that none of them match up. I understand that there's five thousand different wiring harnesses so any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm right in tge middle. I have the 4.7 out left the trans in and am currently prepping the 5.7 to go in

At this point in time even the pinouts would help. I bought the 04 engine harness with the ecm thinking thwy would match up to the plug that goes into the cab( big square one that bolts together with a single bolt.

If you wanted an actual book you can buy the service manuals or maybe your local library might have them if you’re lucky

At this point in time even the pinouts would help. I bought the 04 engine harness with the ecm thinking thwy would match up to the plug that goes into the cab( big square one that bolts together with a single bolt.

well **** someone told me that they should just match up, now im glad i saw this so i can do more research on how to get that wiring harness to hookup

i found out that the big plug is called the c130 plug. i read that its only on the 03' 5.7 and 4.7

So crazy things have happened since my last post. To the 5.7 all the way down. Turns out that passenger side head dropped a valve. Being demoralized I went out and bought a scat 392 stroker kit and a diablo t1000 tuner. I found replacement 6.1 heads and a 6.4 manifold but I'm still thinking about Meadowbrook headers. Yes ill be getting a msd box for that. Working on pacesetters long tube headers and compcam xfi cam. I'm still working on the harness. End game for this engine is to be remote mount turbod and 800hp.

Wow way to go [emoji1303] what compression ratio did you pick? Those heads will raise it up a good bit.

I was going to go with 83cc so I can room for boost and it'll still pump out 500ish with out boost

All in the works... I've only found companies that support 600. Any recommendations would be amazing. I don't plan on pushing the go pedal without everything being bulletproof. The original owner of this truck was my dad so no matter what ill make things happen. And electrical guys please chime up. I've gone through the 200+ pages and am dreading this. No matter what ill post all the details including easy to follow wiring harness mods.

Look into a built 46rh trans swap. Quite a few people on Hemi Truck Club with stroker/boosted 3rd gens have done the swap. I’m going to be going the same route very soon. There are a few little quirks but it’s way better then the old 545

Here we go wish me luck. Harness on top is the 2003 4.7, one on the bottom is 2005 5.7. Best part is I have the vin attached to both.
