I've got a spare hanging out just in case but I'm going to be taking it easy until I have the funds to swap over to the t56. As much as I would love to have this engine running at full tilt I just don't trust the stock bottom end. This engine won't be going over 3k rpm until I get all of the forged parts in. Another re tune. Transmission will go in. Retune. Then finally the turbo setup and retune for that with probably a different cam. Each stage will have its own victories and it will all be done by me. I'm sure along the way ill lower it and put a new dash and have the diff built but ill guess we'll see how this shindig goes!

Just a heads up, using that manifold you will need auto front accessories including harmonic balancer. I have not done anything with a 4.7, but understood that with the manual tb you could use the 4.7 pcm with cmr tuning with the 5.7 engine. You might check with the dakota forums. They do a lot of swaps. Research step by step, it will save you frustration in the long run.

Or the Inertia or Muscle motors (IIRC) adapter piece that moves the alternator out of the way. This way you can use your stock accessory drive and not go through the headache of trying to use the LX version in a truck.

Well Damn that's really good to know! Good job I have a machine shop in my basement . Making similar brackets should be easy enough.

Was never interested in using the auto manifold, guess I over looked it. I also remember someone made spacers lifting the manifold. It cleared with a little grinding in the front.

And now I'm curious.... I might just throw everything on the motor to make sure it all fits.. Parts I'm using are 5.7 block, cometic .075 head gaskets to get the compression ratio down to 9.6ish, 6.1 heads, 6.1 manifold, bbk 87mm cable throttle body, bouchillon cable kit, pacesetters headers welded and ground out for the d port on the 6.1 heads, 04 hemi ram engine harness, 04 fuse box harness, 04 coil and injector harness modified to use Msd blaster coils, and finally the t1000.

The only issue I'm seeing is the apps system aka fly by wire. I'm hoping this can be bypassed via come software but Havnt had the chance to talk with hemi fever yet.l

As far as the front accessories the are what came with the motor which was a 4x4 auto.

I would ask hemifever if you can use the 4.7 pcm. If not ditch the manual tb and use a fbw tb. The APPS does generate equivalent signal like a TPS. Get Hemifever's opinion on what use.

Update time! I finished porting the heads, just minor cleanup, and sent them off to have the seats done. I changed over the plugs on the coil harness to accomidqte the 6.1 blaster coils. Fyi the 4.7 engine harness has the same plug and the 6.1 hemi. I dry fit tge new 5.7 block in the truck to make sure I bought the correct engine mounts and to lock the mounts in place to make it easier to mount the completed engine. I should get back the heads next week as well as the final shipment of parts ill need to complete my build.

I got my heads back today!!!!! Only to find out that the water pump that I bought is for a different 5.7 hemi. I'm just waiting on a few gaskets and the replacement pump and then I can build this thing and finally get it in. I also got my wideband in today as well. The last pic is of my new toolbox that I put lights on each drawer.

Each drawer has its own full length led strip. The top and bottom have their own power supplies and both are controlled by backlit push button switches. It took me about 20 or so hours to complete but it was worth it in the end

Got all of my gaskets in today and I discovered that the morons who "fixed" my heads ruined them. Turns out that they glass bead blasted my heads. Normally that's a great thing until they decided to blast the machined rocker support surface, you know the one that has to seal for the oil to reach the rocker arms. Not to mention they didnt see what was written on the valve seal packages. One pack being exhaust and one being intake. Yea they put all the intake valve seals on one head and all the exhaust valve seals on the other head. So basically the village idiot assembled my heads. I think at this point im screwed.

Wow that sucks. Hopefully you figure something out. Those are the 6.1 heads right? If they ruined them hopefully you get them replaced!
These valve seals? I thought they all used the same seal?

Man I have a lot of reading to do.
I don't often say this to another guy but............ Nice Box.
The rocker shaft mounts should be fine, just make sure there are no beads stuck in the oil holes in the stand .
take the heads back (or find a Hemi friendly shop) , and have them redo the valve seals.

Those are the seals for the intake. The seals for the exhaust have a black seal.
