Anyone actually pay for the Uconnect access after free trial?

Sounds like the uconnect app is being discontinued and will now be called Sirius Guardian.

Hmm.

They already discontinued the apps they used to offer on the uconnect radio (like pandora and iHeartRadio). I noticed my 2017 didn’t have the apps (like my 2015). Called customer service and was told it was not offered anymore.

Prolly cause they don’t need it. I have both the Pandora app and the IHeartRadio app on my iPhone so, through the Bluetooth or AUX connection, I play either of those from through the radio speakers from my phone.

I think it's too much $ for what it is and how much i use it. BUT, if they cut that price in half, then i would get it.

I use it. We travel a fair bit, so being able to find destinations on my phone and sending them to the truck is quite helpful. $150/year is worth it for me. plus, when i'm offshore for 4 weeks, I can crank the truck in the heliport parking lot mid way through the hitch and let it run for a few minutes.

In the 4 years I could have had it, I had a 1 month free trail and never used it. All I do is listen to the text through the radio, push 1 button on my phone, and speak my text back and it's done. Not worth $150 for that to me. As far as maps, I can take an extra minute if I need to to input the destination by fingers. And speaking of navigation, that's another rip off. Just spent $500 for the navigation on my radio, and now they want me to spend another $150 to update it! Ha! They can give me my $500 back and I'll just use my phone. Damn updates should be free after that price.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the Ram's are part of this Sirius Guardian group. From their website:

2017 Dodge Challenger
2017 Dodge Charger
2017 Chrysler 300
All-New 2017 Jeep® Compass

While UConnect has:
2015-2017 Chrysler 200
2015-2016 Chrysler 300
2017 Chrysler Pacifica
2017 Chrysler Town & Country
2015-2016 Dodge Challenger
2015-2016 Dodge Charger
2014-2017 Dodge Durango
2013-2016 Dodge Viper SRT®
2014-2017 Jeep® Cherokee
2014-2017 Jeep® Grand Cherokee
2013-2017 Ram 1500
2013-2017 Ram 2500/3500
2013-2017 Ram Chassis Cab

I did notice that my buddies 2017 Durango with Uconnect has more information in his app. He has things like Mileage, Tire Pressure, Fuel Level, vehicle health all under an extra app tab that I don't seem to have on my 2015 Ram.

Hello,

Just to clarify, Uconnect Access and Sirius XM Guardian are different services. Uconnect Access is available on select 2014-2018 model year vehicles equipped with Harman Kardon head units and Sirius XM Guardian is available on select 2017-2018 model year vehicles equipped with Panasonic head units, you either have one service or the other.

Previously we have had two separate apps: the Uconnect Access App for Uconnect Access customers and the Sirius XM Guardian App for Sirius XM Guardian customers. We have recently released a new application, the Uconnect App, that customers can use regardless of what connected service they have. The Uconnect Access App and Sirius XM Guardian app will eventually be discontinued.

After any of you push the Uconnect start button to remote start your truck, how long does it take to send the command? Mine would take about 90 seconds and compared to everybody elses cell phone start systems that was too long. I now have DroneMobile installed and it takes my truck about 5 seconds to be started after pushing the button on my phone
