Audio build. Like the name suggest, I'm winging it.

Ok, cool. I think that's what it's already on. When I pull off my door panels again for the tweeter install, I'll make sure the jumper is right.

So I found this the other day in our shop and I think I'll use it to tune my amps better.

Budget build all the way. Once I've learned some more from you guys, I'll up my game.

I don't have any angled pod mounts for my tweeters so they'll be going in flat and I'll point them where needed.

Whelp, I drilled my holes in the sails. I put them where there was some inward angle in the plastic so I could point the tweeters better. Not too shabby.

And my sub is supposed to be arriving today. Told the wife I'd wait to buy a new sub until I sold the old one. Whoops. Now the problem is I usually get packages early but they're running late and now she's gonna find out [emoji33]

Tweeters are in, 3.5s are snipped, still waiting on sub. Amazon had their head in their ass so I will be road tripping with the sub that's wired at 4ohms. They sound fantastic. The front stage sounds much cleaner.

The flush mount looks good!

If you haven't already I would just put some gorilla snot around where the power wire is coming in so it is sealed up.

Also, if you electrical tape your speaker wire and zip-tie to the back side of the factory grommet, no one will never know it's there.

Thanks man. I'm waiting to purchase some 1/0 gauge terminal rings so I can mount my fuse holder somewhere else. BCMark gave me a good idea for where to mount it. And that's a great idea for the speaker wire. I'll do that today. I've got a 14 hour drive ahead of me. I might even seal up the power wire so nothing gets in. Supposed to be raining while on my Labor Day weekend.

I had the day off and in the middle of preparing for my trip, I went ahead and swung by a stereo shop and got some ring terminals and some sealer for my power wire at Home Depot. Will tape speaker wires later.

New sub arrived today in what used to be a cardboard box. Thank you, FedEx. -_-

Truck did great on my trip to Florida.

Really need to get my amp situation fixed. Am gonna try to mount them on the back wall like BCMark did sometime in the future.

Still in need of proper tuning. As always I'm trying to find a cheaper way out. What do you guys think of a Soundstream Harmony for a dsp?

Whats needs to be changed with the sound now? Placement, gain, crossover points, and the basic EQ on the Kenwood can probably fix what you need without spending more money. Tuning can be very difficult and often times people make it sound worse. Some of the best installers still can't tune worth a damn lol.

Once I get some time, I'll tune it the best I can. I'm sure it'll sound decent!

New sub is noticeably louder! But the more videos I watch on YouTube, the more I want to change everything. Was looking at D.A.D. and Skar subs. but there isn't much room to work with.
