Im new to this forum. Hopefully you guys can help me out. Ive got a 97 dodge ram 1500 5.9 liter 4wd.
So my problem started with changing out the front passenger side ujoint. I changed it out. My truck has the floating front axles. So I slid the axle in after changing the ujoint and put everything back together.
A few weeks later I noticed a noise anytime turning even slightly to the right. Pulled it apart and notice the axle had came outta the differential. It was rubbing the outside space where the axle enters the differential. So I slid it back in there and everything was good.
That was a couple months ago and the other day it started making that same noise so today I'm pulling it back apart and putting it back in again.
Is there something I'm missing? Is there a reason this thing keeps sliding out?
