Hello,
I just picked up a used 2014 RAM 1500 Bighorn last week which I am loving. It has the tow package but to my surprise, no backup camera. So, the first thing I did was add a backup camera. I went with the PAC BCI-CH41 setup in case I wanted to add more camera's down the road. Everything installed just fine and works great. My issue is that at night, the number plate lights are so bright they wash the picture out. Anybody else have this problem? If so is there a fix, maybe "dimmer" bulbs? It's not a big deal but is a bit irritating.
Thanks for any info.

I have the OEM camera in the tailgate handle and even with upgraded reverse bulbs I don't have that issue. The camera you got doesn't have IR capability, does it? That might cause a washout under bright light.

I also have super bright led back up and license lights and I get no washout either.
