Battery issue

07 2500 with the 5.9

When on 1 battery it turns over slow but then runs great.
When on both batteries the alternator doesn't kick in and the passenger side battery cooks and spills acid all over.

Took it to the dealership and they drove it and couldn't get the problem to happen.

Until I figure the problem out, can I run on 1 battery?

I would put 2 new batteries in it, and start there. Are the batteries factory originals?

That is a good idea... make sure to unplug them and test them each individually or else they will give you false readings off of each other.
