Are there any members using a BedRug or BedTred on their 14+ 5th wheel prep equipped trucks? The BedRug site states it is not compatible. Their support person quickly responded to my question "why?" stating that the D-pillar on the 2016s is in a different place. I expect that if the liner (either one) fits inside the bed then it would just be a matter of cutting the access holes. Originally I was going toward the BedTred but now I am leaning toward the BedRug because it doesn't have the ribs. They are certainly not cheap so I want to make sure of fit before ordering. Thanks for your help.

I know they aren't the same trucks, but I had the BedTred on my 2013 Quad cab 1500. Fit was pretty good. I did have to trim in a few places for it to tuck under the bed rails, but other than that, I liked it. Was considering the BedRug for my 2015 Crew Cab 1500, but I'll probably end up just getting it sprayed.

I think they say it is not compatible with your truck because they do not offer a configuration that is made to be a direct install. If you are willing to do the required cuts to customize your fit and you feel it would look acceptable I see no reason not to do so. As you probably already know, doing such drastic alterations would probably void the warranty.

If you do go that route post some pictures, I'd be interested to see how it comes out. I had a BedRug in my last truck and went the same way in my 2014 and have been very happy with quality, appearance and fit.

Thanks for your replies.

If I go this route I will need to cut 6 holes total. 5 in the floor and one for the in-bed electrical. I might not cut out the gooseneck, though. I also read on the interwebs (so it must be true ;/) that the BedRug floor is 3/4" thick. Seems excessive but if that is the case then the BedTred will work better.

I am going to swing by the local dealer today to see if the "D" pillars of a SRW w/o PREP are any different than mine. That seems to be the area concern according to the lady at BedRug.

I have a new rubber mat coming in that I will not cut up. Its purpose will be for when the hitch is out over the winter. My current rubber mat is 15 years old and is in its 3rd truck but I went a little overboard trimming it the last time so it is going to be used as garage floor mats.

Don't know about the BedRug being that thick, but I know the BedTred is about 1/4" thick because there's a padding under it. I think the BedRug is the same way. When you bolt the gooseneck down it will crush it down though, so I don't think that would be a problem.

Thanks Ramittome.

A bit more research today. I went to the local dealer. They only had 5'7" and 6'4" beds but the rear support column is completely different than my dually. It is straight one size top to bottom where the dually starts to flare out to the bottom about 1" or a little more. Also the rear tie downs are in different places. The SRW has the tie down in the wall while the DRW has the tie down in the column.
So, now I can see that the BedRug or BedTred will not fit correctly at the back of the bed so that is why they claim it will not fit DRW after Feb 2013.

This is a bit disappointing that they would not have a suitable offering after 2+ years. Their loss.

Some PICS:

DRW rear corner of bed. I installed a MOPAR tailgate liner (1st mod) and had to heat up the lower corners in order to get it form to the tight clearance of the dually bed.

The tie down holes need to be cut anyway in any model, so those being in different spots really don't matter.

I just finished installing my BedRug and it seems to fit just fine. I will cut the 5th wheel holes when we are ready to buy a 5th wheel. I cut the holes for the tie downs, lights and 5th wheel plug. I will be installing a Pace Edwards Bed Locker soon. I had a spray in Bed Liner so I got the spray in Bed Liner kit from BedRug.

I finally got the fuel tank all done and installed the Demco 6099 Prep Truck Rail System.
