The new type s is the last gen typ r.

Mines hooked up to a Rockford fosgate R500X1D amp. Just one speaker in my truck. It gets loud!

They showed up yesterday. Going to get them installed this weekend. Can't wait to hear how they sound.

Ive got two type S on the way going into the Foxacoustic ported box that will be on the Prime 1200.1 I think its way overkill! Ive heard both good and bad on the type S speakers in terms of easily able to cook them, I guess I will find out.

You cant go wrong with JL audio 10W3 subs. You can find killer deals on used ones on ebay.

Looks like you found a subwoofer you're happy with. Anybody tried MTX subs recently the 55 series 10 is made for .75 cubic ft and they've always been good boom for the buck. A pair could be had for about 250. I'd love to hear one of their jackhammer subs, but I want to keep my rear seat and that's not a sub for the budget minded.

I have had Memphis Audio's power reference 10's for over 11 years. They still hit hard. They cost (11 years ago) $90 each. I have them on a Memphis PR500.1 amp, also 11 years old

Best Buy deal of the day has the Alpine DVC 4 ohm version on sale for $59!!! That's a steal for anyone waiting to pull the trigger on them. I totally love mine.
