I disagree with the Iowa ranking. We get ranked 38th because no Class 3/NFA? That's a bit preposterous if you ask me. They also state that Iowa requires training to obtain a CCW/Permit to Carry. A whopping 3-4 hour class that's easy with no testing whatsoever, I wouldn't even call it training and quite frankly it's scary if there are States out there that don't make people take at least some kind of class to familiarize themselves with handguns for concealed or open carry. I know there were people in my class that really had no business getting a CCW permit. The class I chose was great because they actually made you go out and shoot, the vast majority of the other instructors/courses don't require actual hands on shooting. There were people in my class that needed help loading a magazine, racking the slide, aiming down the sights, etc... Classes should absolutely be a requirement but I have to disagree with it seemingly being held against us in this little ranking system.

I didn't expect Texas to be that far down.

I think this whole idea is a sham anyway. Ultimately it's pretty black and white. You have states that suck like New York and Illinois for example, and you have states that rock like Texas, Lousiana, Arizona, and Iowa.

Sweet! Kansas is in the top 10. I thought for sure Texas would be in the top 5...
