Body color bumper or not?

I had chrome bumper and grille, and switched to a plastic painted bumper. Not a fan of chrome on a black truck.
In the spring i might fab up a steel bumper that looks identical to the plastic bumper, and Body paint match it. I like the look of the plastic bumper, but the protection of steel.

My 04 Ram 2500 had painted bumpers which I prefer. It was an easy choice back then since the Sport Appearance pkg was available on a REGULAR CAB in '04. Last year I ordered a new '17 Ram 2500 R/C BUT you can no longer get the SAP on a RC (remember this is a 2500, Ram has different option rules for the HD's). So I decided I was going to do it on my own. Well in the process of going through the changes I ended up leaving the chrome bumpers on while changing out everything else to body color or blacked out. I put on a painted grille shell, black stainless mesh grille,painted power wagon flares, night edition Cummins emblems, blacked out headlamps and de-badged the rest. The chrome bumpers along with the Laramie wheels I put on seemed to contrast nicely and "brighten" up the color of the truck so I stopped there. Pics:

I'm in the body color camp, myself. Although I definitely can admire a truck or car with tasteful chrome accents. Unfortunately, I was over exposed to chrome in my late teens and early 20's. It ruined me.
