I already have a 2.5 inch level, want more but don't want to spend a lot. What are the pros and cons of body lifts? Tell me about y'all's trucks with em, and if you have pics I'd like to see em! Thanks guys

Body lift is good for adding height and keeping lower center of gravity. Our trucks hide them well and I've never met anyone who could tell I have a body lift. The only downside I would see is added stress on body mounts and weakening of bumpers since they get relocated up. My rear bumper almost seems for show now lol

Body lifts are a inexpensive way if you are planning to put a bigger set of tires and want a little more ground clearance. And I agree that too much body lift can cause stress on the body mounts.

I agree. I've owned several trucks with body lifts and never had an issue. Body lifts have gained a bad reputation from people trying to jerry rig one from hockey pucks, metal pipe, wooden blocks, etc.

Pros-$140 for 1.5" lift and looks awesome
Cons-None (well maybe just the labor part of it)

I assume you can at least still step on the bumper?? How much weaker is it really?

I Customized my OEM hitch so the body lift relocating bumper brackets were never used , as strong as factory or better

It will be sturdy enough to stand on for sure. You just don't want to tow with it.
