Right now I have the bilstein adjustable shocks at 2.8 along with a 1.5 rear coil spacer. It looks great with my 35s and there is enough clearance but I do want to eventually do a suspension kit. Either a 4" or 6" zone lift more than likely but for the time being, I was wondering if I should add a body lift. Any disadvantages to them? I know that it will cause a gap between the bumper and the exhaust tips but other than that is there any other issues I should be worried about? Another thing I was thinking about doing was wheel spacers. Ive never been a big fan of them after seeing a friends wheel fall off his jeep with spacers but I'd like to widen my stance a little being that I still have stock wheels.

Damn that looks badass. I saw another guy with a body lift and he had a gap. I assumed that since the body is lifted away from the frame that it would cause the gap. How big of a body lift is that? Also what else do you have suspension wise?

With 1.5" you can loosen the tips and adjust them. 3" I believe you need to get the exhaust adjusted by means of the moving the hangers up.

My setup is 6" Procomp with Coilovers at 8" and 1.5" BL.

Yeah I figured a body lift wouldn't be too hard

It is fairly easy, but don't expect to do it in 3 hours like Jameson. He must have his own Jarvis robot or something. lol Mine took me closer to 8 hours. I was taking my time but I didn't really get hung up on anything, it was just time consuming. If I rushed, I could probably do it again in 5 or 6 hours (maybe). At any rate, if it's your first time.... plan to spend most of the day on it.

Lol I had already done one on my 2011 and a 1.5" and 3" (swapped to the 3") on my truck before that. So it was pretty much the same.

I have a 3" body lift and you can still adjust the exhaust tips up enough to make it look good.

I had my tips adjusted, then I added 5" tips to help fill out the holes. Looks unreal! I've attached a before and after pic. You'll also want gap guards.

My set up is a 2" front level, 1.5" rear spacer, 3" BL. 1.5" Bora adaptors with 35" duratracs

how are you guys lifting the body without the truck being on a lift? ive installed a slew of them, easy on a lift using a trans jack to pick the side up on the pinch rail or rocker. But I don't know how I would lift the side in the driveway? Flat piece of wood on the pinch rail and lift it up in the center using a floor jack?

Floor jack and piece of 4x4 for the cab. For the bed I laid on my back pushed up with my foot and slid the spacers in...I wouldn't recommend that for the older or fragile crowd.

I've seen other posts where users have stated you need several drill bits. Any idea why? I've installed BL's on other trucks and never had any issues. I'm assuming most kits come with a radiator drop as well? Looking at a 1.5.

Get step bit for metal that goes up to 1/2". Worked perfect for the bumper brackets.

I actually got the idea from you haha. You're also why I asked about the exhaust. What kind of kit did you use? I usually try to not buy cheap eBay crap but isn't a body lift going to be the same regardless? I mean its just a spacer right? Or no lol?

Oh right on lol. I used a Performance Accessories 3" body lift. I'm not sure on other kits, I just looked at what other guys on this forum were using and went with that!
