Brake bleed procedure?

Does anyone know if the front and rear brakes are independent of each other? I've seen some vehicles use brake lines that cross tie into each other as in front left and right rear versus just one line for front and a separate for the rears. Had to replace my left rear caliper and it's 11 degrees out so the vinyl tubing on my vacuum pump isn't cooperating.

Yes they are separate, you should only have to bleed the rear.
