What are your thoughts about buying new 4 different brands of take off tires versus a set 4 of the same brand.

The price would have to be near free for me to even consider it. 4 different lug patterns, 4 different wear patterns, 4 different life ranges. Like already said, way to many variables.

As stated I would not do it! Different tread patterns may cause issue when driving.. That being said if you do it I would keep the rear tires the same brand and the front the same not 4 different brands! BUT I would cough up the cash and get 4 matching tires !

No way would I do that. If your strapped for cash, there's better ways. The tire place I use ALWAYS has a huge stock of used tires that are cheap and they only have sets of 4 and they only sell sets with plenty of tread. I got some tires I hated once and they took them on a trade in.

If your really strapped for cash, try a salvage yard or Craigslist. I drive a lot of highway, so hydroplaning is a concern and I've sold sets of tires cheap, that weren't to the wear bars but couldn't throw water at 75mph. I grew up poor and my dad used to pick up sets of tires at the salvage yards. We lived on gravel roads and they'd get chewed up in months, not years, but they were matching sets.

Tires all have different personalities. Traction, cornering, ride, stopping, they just need to match for safety sake...

I just bought a set of 15’ chrome wheels with practically brand new 275/65/20 Toyo Open Country AT2’s for $500. I have zero issues over the last week and they’re already balanced and have no vibrations or anything. Just be smart about it, check the tread depths and all, make sure nothing is dry rotted. Then you can probably sell your old ones to get som money back!

NO WAY! That's a better deal than just a set of tires. You didn't buy them... you robbed someone LMAO!

How is the ride and how quiet are they Open Country's?

They’re nice, little louder than the Michelin LTX I had on there but it feels like a truck now
