I have researched this pretty extensively on my own and there is nobody out there that makes an exact "equivalent" fluid and expect to maintain any warranty coverage if used.

There is some obscure reference on the rambodybuilder.com that mentions the use of ATF+4 on a specification sheet but nothing else out there that I can find in the FCA world that will back up this one reference of using ATF+4 instead of the BW fluid.

Me personally, I would not risk the use of anything other than the MOPAR approved BW spec'd fluid while still in warranty. Also, the BW fluid has a pretty specific color dye and they will know if anything else besides it has been used.

Have you tried looking up the part number online to see if you can get it cheaper that way?

I feel your pain. Stuff is pretty pricey even in the states. Plus you got to buy two quarts/liters as it is 1.5qt/1.4L for the fill.

It's red in color. Bought it and changed it awhile ago. Amsoil site will also give you the Mopar part number so you can search for it that way. About 10-15 a quart.

I'm running Amsoil Signature Series ATF in my BW44-44 and it's so far working fine. I emailed Amsoil back and forth several times and they swear their fluid will be fine in the tcase.

Just to inform everyone I have a 2014 ram 2500 4x4 tradesman. I changed all my fluids last week. Differentials and Transfer case and my dealership said they use manual transmission fluid 75w80 gl-4. This came from the parts manager and a mechanic technician. They said you can use ATF+4 or 75w80 gl-4 and mine is the bw47 transfer it takes a little over 2 quarts (2quarts and 8 ounces) oh and they sold it to me for $7.50 a quart. Anything else I can help with hit me up I will help if I can.
