I have the same Graco seats I believe.
RAM manual says to route the head strap through the loop behind the headrest over to the center headrest look.
Silly I think, how are you routing them?

I just route it through the back of the carseat. I've done it like this for every vehicle, never been an issue for me. Unless i've been doing it wrong! ?

I had to do some looking.
Perhaps it's just because it's almost impossible to clip it right behind?
I don't know, I just followed the manual.
Take a pic and share.
I found there wasn't enough working room in general.
I'd take a pic, but my car is in the shop.

Currently have 2 car seats in my crew cab and there is plenty of room. More room than in my wifes Durango. Not so much in my previous quad cab.

There is room. I bought the truck because of this. We are about to have another so we needed to be able to fit a rear facing seat in the back with my daughters booster seat. The drivers seat is all the way back and the passengers seat is about an inch or so forward but leaned back more.

With the drivers seat in the position that it is in, the rear facing seat did push up against it slightly. So I put it on the passenger side. My daughter has plenty of room behind me on the drivers side.

I can sit in the back as well and I'm a slightly larger than normal human.

What’s the room like in a 1500 crew can for 1 and 2 car seats. Is there enough room. Is it safe? Is the ride still comfortable? Or should I go with an SUV? Thanks !

I rock the Graco 5 in 1 no problem

If you are tall I wouldn't recommend it in a quad cab if you have the option to get a crew. I wouldn't sell a QC for this reason but it would be tight (for the kid!)...7cc2da0b059b0f40f8b8cb321883c183.jpgfdf30bbd597f4dde54460592888ca7ed.jpg

CrewCab should have mountains of room.

I'm 6' tall, and my wife is 6'2" tall... our kids are 6'2" and 6'5", respectively. Yes, I'm the shorty in the group. We still fit somewhat cozy in my 2017 QuadCab for a moderate (~250-mile or so) trip to my in-laws' house, with only a couple complaints in the back from one of the kids after a couple hundred miles. Then again, I still have *way* more seat room in the back than a typical Business Class airline seat.

So, I suspect a CrewCab would be even roomier.

All that said, the only way you're going to know for certain is if you get your family into a CrewCab during a test drive and see what they think... I suspect that a CrewCab will give you the same room as a typical SUV.
