Center console stuck in the up position

I have a 1994 dodge 3500 that has a center console stuck up. I'll post some pictures to show what's wrong. But anyway there's a key hole on the driver's side and I think that might be the problem. I looked on my 1995 2500 and it has the same key hole. I'm not sure how to get a key for this because the ignition key doesn't work in the hole. I'm wondering how to get it back down before I take it on a 4 hour trip.

Did you get figures out? Cause mine did this today.

Google seems to think its a combination of lifting and twisting while trying to lower it, or dis-assembly and repair of the jamming mechanism.

Try bringing it down very very slowly. Mine gets stuck every once in a while and that works every time. I think when your slowly bringing it down there will be a tiny *click.

Try that and see if that works.
