So, I ordered my 5 year old one of those 110 cc taotao 2x4 quads offline, it was 600$ to the door, free shipping, It will stay in the crate and go with the movers to alaska ( for free). To ship to ak Was 200$. I have had atvs all my life. Hondas growing up, 3 and 4 wheelers. And. Polaris sportsmanship most recently. I did quite about of research on these Chinese quads and it was about 50/50 with the reviews, good and bad. The bad is that they ( fall apart) . The good. It the people that go through and tighten the bolts and chain, and keep fresh gas in them say they run for ever, On top of that. Parts are stupid cheap, Carb is 15$. Full engine is 150.......... Anyway. I wanted to see what u guys think, Waste of 600$. ? After she learns and gets use to it I will give it to my son. He is 2. And I will get her a good. Named brand.

I own a marine and small engine repair business. Yes these Chinese made arcs and such are very cheap. Parts aren't as easy to get as you might think. In fact there damn near impossible to get in the us. I've got customers who bring them to my shop and leave very disappointed because they can't get simple parts. But for the money they are very appealing

In my opinion they should be considered disposable after the first break.

I have also thought about getting one but haven't looked into how hard it is to find replacement parts yet. I may just go with an older big name brand one.

I have one and the only problem I have is the battery always dies. I'm told its from all the safety kill switch crap on it, other than that my 5 and 11 year olds love it... It's a good beginner quad, I figured they can learn on this, then move them to a real Honda or Yamaha.

I have no idea, if I remember right, the book didn't even have a name printed on it... I paid $500 and so far it's lasted over a year.. Just the battery thing and a low tire... Oh yeah, the chain falls off a lot even after adjusting... Other than that it runs great and the kill switch is cool if your kid tries to kill themselves.. Haha

I had a cheap littlle pit bike that are like $400 new and it lasted me a year of beating on it with my friend. Had a ton of fun on it. But after about a year it wouldnt start. But then again it was only 400 bucks. A lot cheaper than buying a name brand one. IMO just keep it until it dies and if your kids like riding it get them a gently used name brand one.
