Compass Malfunction...?

Hello all, I have a 2007 Ram 1500 4.7L. The overhead compass was stuck on SE and would not change. I've tried reseting it and now, there is no direction displayed al all. Even after driving in circles like the manual instructs. Is there a fix for this or am I stuck with no compass?

Pull down the console and unplug it. Plug it back in and see if that does the trick.

At the risk of sounding stupid.... how do I get the console down? Does it just pull down?
