Hi !
Need some technical advice please !
Got a 2002 ram 1500 4.7 magnum
Got low oil pressure at idling
Found out wife had drove it with low oil
Thinking to change con rod bearings but problem is
Ive been told this engine had been overhauled a while ago
So i dont know if crankshaft has been done
So i dont know how to work out what size bearings i need or how to find out !!
Any ideas anyone ???

Typical end play limit should measure between .005 to .015 inch if play exceeds the service limit new connecting rods will be required. Go pickup a Repair manual and dig in.

Rod bearing sizes are usually marked on the back. If not you would need to measure journal diameter with micrometer or calipers.
