I am considering converting my 1996 2500 to dual rear wheel. Any one have any experience with this? I already have a D80 rear so would it be better to add the spacers to that axle or should I just swap in a 3500 DRW D80? Anyone have any opinions on after market fenders to cover the wheels, or would it be better to just swap over a dually bed? What other items should I consider.
I also have 17" wheels and almost new 285/70/17 tires, so I would like to keep those tires and find some 3rd gen 17" dually wheels. Any experience with these size tires on a dually? Will I need rear spacers between the wheels?
