Does anyone know how (or if) the dealer can reprogram the speedometer on a 2014? I went from stock 275/70R18 to 295/70R18. I went to my dealer to have the speedometer corrected. The technician told me when he plugs in the scanner, he can only choose from the factory tire sizes. I know I can do this with a tuner but would rather have the dealer do it permanently, if possible.

There should be an option to change to that size. I wasn't able to go to a 35" tire from the factory tire settings, but I got close.

You should be able to do a 285 which will be the same size pretty much.

Hopefully the dealer said they can usually only go up 1 size, since this is going from a 33 to a 34 and a half he said he wouldn't know until he hooked it up to the computer

I need to get one of those.. Mine's off by about 3-4 mph. I see myself looking at my radar detector for my speed more than my speedometer because of it.

If you don't want to get a tuner to do it, you can get a speedo calibrator for less$.

Programmers can do it. We also sell a hypertech product that can adjust your calibration. We have a couple members here who use it

Do you have a link for one?

There you go^^^^. Hypertech is the only stand alone calibrator I have run across. Pm Nick@GotExhaust and he can take care of you!

I use AEV's module. Can also do tire size and a few other functions.

I don't even know what my dealer used but I still have the unit in the under floor storage of my truck. I had them install 285/65's on my truck before I took delivery and they had something they thought would adjust the speedo but it didn't work on my truck. So they had to order something and have me come back and get it done. They never asked me to pay for the unit but, like a programmer, I guess it is no good on any other truck as long as it is programmed to mine, so they let me keep the unit. I got 20 miles down the road and realized the programmer was left on the floor of my truck, so I called them and told them they forgot it and they said it's mine to keep. I assume when I move up to 35's, I can use it to adjust again.
