Just as a discussion how hard would it be to put a 12v in my 2nd gen?

Damn well I guess my dreams of a RCSB cummins will have to come in the form of frame chopping then.
How I usually see it is if you have to ask then you probably can't do it. Some cases I'm wrong but it's a pain in the ass
Anythingt can be done. But I want a cummins, and there is a motor for sale in my area so I figured is ask to see what the swap would entail, if it was just minor bolt on stuff. It would have been a go. plus there isn't a RCSB Cummins that I know of so it would be pretty cool. I guess I'm going to have to just buy a Cummins and shorten the frame.
There are plenty of guys that do swaps like this.i see it in the diesel power mag every now and again. they take 1500's with RCSB and put a 12V in. they are putting out some huge numbers with these also! maybe even more than Daves!
98.5.
A '96 will accept a 12V as a 'bolt in' installation. All the computer controlled on the 12V is the Alternator output and the over drive. (I had a '95).
You'll just need to get a computer to make the gauges work. This would be 'easier' thank most motor swaps.
While having a vehicle roll a million miles would be cool, I just don't drive that much. I damned sure don't want to be driving my 2011 Ram in 2075 (around 16000 miles a year).
60 years no payment, runs good, looks good, why not. the only way ill make 2075 is if someon is driving my ashes around.
LOL , we can all take turns driving ... o wait I am not that young either
What about the tranny? Is the 12v tranny the same as mine?
