Cut vacuum line

Vacuum line cut, can not find other end and not sure what it for. Can someone point me in the right direction?

There should be a diagram on the underside of your hood that would give you an idea of where it goes.

To be truthful I am not very good at understanding the diagram. I was hoping someone could recognize the vacuum line and point me in the right direction.

Does your cruise control work. It's the only thing I can think of as it's towards the front of the engine, correct?
