Has anyone ran these DDM hid’s in a 2015 ram? I’m looking for a cheaper priced system that will work in my truck. Anywhere I’ve read I’m going to need the Morimoto Mopar spec resistors and relay wiring to make them work. Any help would be great!

These will work in your 2015. It already comes with everything you need. You won’t need any additional parts.

You can run HID in your quad lights. The output will be much wider. You just need to point your headlights a bit lower.

Anywhere I’ve read the 2015’s have had more issues with getting the HID’s to work. I just don’t want to buy these and get them all installed and they don’t work.

They seem pretty confident with 2015’s.

So I finally got around to clocking the bulbs and hon the drivers side is significantly dimmer. Any thoughts on if it's just a bad bulb, or what else would cause it?
Before with shadow in drivers headlight.

After clocking bulbs, but now driver side is dim.

I noticed my passenger side was slightly dimmer against the garage door too, but it was like that even with halogens. I figured it was the housing itself and not the bulb. Although yours did look brighter before clocking.

I’d say switch sides and see if it does it on the passenger side too. When I switched mine it would only do it on the passenger side, which leads me to believe it’s not the bulb.

Another thing to consider, by looking at the picture, does the passenger side actually look brighter after clocking? That could also make it seem as if the driver side got dimmer but may actually still be the same.

These look great guys! I'm looking at retro-fitting my quad low beams to an HID projector system. There's a kit on the retrofit source site that I'm looking at. It's expensive but all the research I've done seems to point at this as the most effective option. Looks a little scary to open up the headlights but I live in rural northern Minnesota and could definitely use an upgrade on my light output with all the deer around. Has anyone with the quads attempted to do this?

I installed the DDM Tuning Plus HIDs in my 2018 projectors Monday night (and 9011s in the high-beams). So far no errors, worked right out of the box.
Note: I do recommend pulling the grill.

No, too scared of heat damage. I mounted mine to the frame that was exposed under the headlight with self-tapping screws.

I had mine all crammed in the headlight, but it was so tight you couldn't adjust the headlight up and down by the adjustment screw. It actually popped out of the socket when I was trying to adjust them and the internal housing was loose in the headlight shell and I had to work for 45 min to get the ball popped back in. Huge pain...

I removed everything from the headlight and used the heavy duty 3m double sided tape to the frame under the headlight as well. I didn't drill a hole, just have all the wires coming straight down from the back plate wedged in the gasket.

So for you guy that have done it in the projectors are you getting the 9011 bulb or the 9005 bulb in Phillips?

If you are using the 9011 Are the 9011 plug and play for the hi beams in the projectors? Everything I see calls for 9005 for both highs and lows in the projectors

You can use 9011 both high and low. The wire is plug and play. You just need to trim a couple of millimeters off the biggest tab to get them into the housing.

Click here to see modification of tab. https://sep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-91565365470012_2267_311973

Question for all you guys that did the upgrade to your projectors. If this was your first time taking everything apart, how long did the whole process take from start to finish? I've never taken the grill off so just looking for a beginner like me. I want to do it but I want to make sure I allocate enough time.

Thanks

Taking the grill off, pulling the head light and taking the dust cover off..... MAYBE 15 minutes. Add another 5ish for the other headlight.

That’s just disassembly. It’s pretty easy, even though it sounds daunting.
The DDM kit looks pretty easy to install. It’s all plug and play. No extra relays to put in, no tying in to grounds etc...
I have taken my grill off several times and have swapped over to the OEM projector headlights. I will be doing the DDM HID swap soon.

First time, maybe 15-20 minutes taking your time doing it right. Every other time only takes about 5 minutes lol. My two suggestions would be, slightly pull up as your popping the grill off so it does not scratch your bumper, and wiggle the headlight with one hand as you're pulling the tab inside the fender back down to lock it back in place. You shouldn't have to put a lot of force on the plastic tab. Applying to much force could break the tab.
