My third gen developed the typical dash crack on the passenger side, but I was expecting that. What I didn't expect was one of my defroster vents completely shattering last year when I was gently wiping my dash clean.
So now, I'm left with a gaping hole, and I've been planning on ways to fix it.
I'm a wood shop teacher, and our school has a laser cutter that our students use for various projects. So, I drew up a cover that would fit over the hole and cut it out if some ABS I had laying around.
I'm searching for a way to trace this opening so I can get the piece to fit flush inside of the opening. This is very difficult based on how close the vent is to the windshield.
Any input is appreciated, and I'll keep you all informed of any progress!
