Just finished up my truck. I used a Pro Elite clay towel (artificial claybar) with Meguiars Detailing spray. Then finished it up with Meguiars spray wax. Shines like new and is smooth as butter.

Yeah. LOL

Pull out can of Fukken and 2 microfibers. Spray, wipe, buff. Done.

Screw buckets of water, chamois, etc. LOL
I was going to ask what the easiest wax is to use, but that sums it up.
How long does it last? I dont want to add a coat every weekend.

I have a black truck and if you don't, this doesn't really apply to you but I was my truck with something called the turtle wax black box. It has a pre-wax, detailer spray, and black carnuba wax. I just got it to try it and I thought it was gonna be ******** but somehow it really did make my truck..."blacker" lol. Love it. I always start out with a regular wash though, and I use turtle wax ice soap for that. RainX on the windows and if I notice a lot of streaks I use newspaper on the windows. Its a trick I picked up from a guy at a Carshow. For some reason newspaper doesn't leave streaks lol. And for tires I use turtle wax something, I forgot the name but it's actually like a wax for your tires. Lasts at least a month and doesn't sling up the side of your truck. Great stuff. Cool threadView attachment 7261
I use the same once a quarter. It works great but only for black! In between I use the ICE products.. Good stuff.

This thread is soley to explain proper and helpful ways to wax. If you want to add a video, make it a video you, or another RF member made, no outside stuff. If you know some great tips/tricks, make a vid and post it up here, or explain your processes to help out members thinking of waxing!
If you have another product that you like, that's not on the list. Post it up and I'll add it.

After giving my truck a good detailed wash, I tried the Aero Cosmetics Wash/Wax All. Decent shine but didn't clean as advertised. I'll go back to good old Meguires. Should have known good things don't come easy.

IMHO Usually when you are looking for something easy, it doesn't have anything to do with proper detailing techniques.

Lately I've been using these guys stuff, supposedly they are big in the high end UK market.I like the results they leave on my bright red toy.Their products aren't cheap, but they are easy to get at Canadian Tire for us Canucks

For those who like Meguiars, O'Reilly auto parts has three new Meguiars products. I saw a Iron remover and their Hyper dressing and wheel cleaner
