Many of us have replaced the carrier and have a suitable fix for the pinion nut. My preference is the TruTrac, but I'd also look at a lunchbox locker.

Sorry, didn't mean for that to sound mysterious. The fix is to ensure the nut has loktite on it and it is torqued properly.
