So I'm sure this was answered; and I read every post, it's getting late. Lol. Good stuff! RLK I have a 12 with the same rear diff. No owners manual because of buying it used. How much fluid did you use in your rear diff? I ordered my Redline tonight and plan on doing some maintenance this weekend. Thanks!

Here ya go Sir , from my post #1 here

The container in the background is a 2qt container ....I actually drained out about 2.15 qts , however when I serviced it back up to spillover I pumped in about 2.5 qts total .

This is a test results sheet of gear oils , notice Redline is heads & shoulders above the rest.

Just love the smell of gear oil in the morning lol.
I have a dinosaur dodge and couldn't find a gasket for the rear so I went old fashion with rtv. I'm waiting for the rtv to cure so I can add oil, the rtv says to wait 24 hours before adding fluids, is this true? I don't ever remember having to wait that long when I turned wrenches back in the day, I sealed cover last night around 9pm, I'm going to put oil in around noon cause I need to be somewhere, hope it holds.
My rear has 220,000+ on it and virtually no metal particulates on mag, so I guess the guy I bought truck from wasn't lying about his maintenance habits.
Although there was significant signs of wear on pinion and ring gears though, how long you guys/gals think I have till it's gone?

You should be good by noon to put gear oil in

I use rtv often , couple hours is fine , overnight your definitely good to go .
Sometimes I'll spread a thin test strip of sealant and check my test strip prior to adding fluids .

Hope this helps !
