I know cgeorgemo said to use one, but I got the wrong type of steering wheel puller and I used muscle and wiggled it back and forth and mine came off without a problem. Just make sure all connectors have been disconnected.

Also try to bring it as straight off as you can, so as not to move that clock spring behind the steering wheel.

And if you haven't, remember to remove the steering wheel bolt.

Yeah after I got the wrong steering wheel puller, I was looking at cgeorgemo's pictures and it looks like his puller had some type of arms attached to it.

It's scary I feel like I'm going to break something inside the steering wheel or slip and scratch the hell out of my instrument panel haha

Also for the third one at 6 o'clock how did you go about getting to it ? If we don't need to remove the lower part of the steering wheel plastic. Is it easier when you get the first two done ?

Yeah, it made my ******** pucker too! I just used my finger tips to find the lip of each clip and used it to guide the flat head of the screwdriver in and apply the pressure.

For the 6 o'clock clip, you just have to turn the steering wheel so you can have access to it, I think I got it to the 10 or 11 o'clock position.

This is kicking my ass I cannot get the airbag off

I'm going to edit the OP to add this little jewel I found online last night, and also a link to the OReily wheel puller.

@cgeorgemo,

Just started to pull mine apart. Here is a video of removing the Airbag and its clips that may help others. Feel free to add to your OP.

Thanks again for the write up cgeorgemo, it worked out great.

Here's a few more pictures in case you need it (you mentioned missing some pictures in the OP. Steps 8, 9, 10? )

Extra: Oreilly Auto Parts has a cheap T15/T20 Stardriver set for $5.00 if anyone needs it.

Thanks for the pictures but I'm up against the character limit on the original post.
You are only allowed 10k characters in a post.

I didn't know there was a limit. Its a shame you don't have the second post as well for a linked "part 2" ( Think table of contents/post links). There's always post 4 or just link to mine as a reference.
- You may be able to "hyperlink" some of your existing text without it going against your 10K limit (who woulda thought of hitting it?).

Either way its a great OP.
