Not bad, can't really see it during the day. I wonder how it looks at night. lol
I think it looks pretty good. Pretty much what I was going for. I'm going to open them back up and RE-seal with a black silicone, then call it a day.

I take that back. I may try this with the third break light too.

I considered this as well. Just wondering how much room there'd b to work with.
I have two spare thirds to play with. There is room but I think I'm going to just try tension/press fitting a strip in around the perimeter and wedge it into place with an auto trim tool.

BTW, the auto trim tools work great to separate the lens from the housing without damaging either.

Yep, I removed the silicone and use this instead.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but did anyone have any issues with moisture or condensation in their tails after resealing with silicone? I'd like to use a clear silicone to prevent any mess. I used butyl on my headlights and swore I'd never use it again after dealing with the mess it makes. Thanks

I used butyl for my heads as well and used the silicone for my tails.

Zero issues with moisture or condensation in my tails. I would definetly use the silicone over the butyl anyday. So much easier to work with IMO.

Good deal, that's what I was hoping to hear. Once I find a cheap set to mess with, I'll get started. Thanks a lot!

Nope, my dashcam probably saw it but I didn't notice until I reached my destination...luckily I had another (unmodified) set in my workshop!

I know this is an old thread, but does the O.P. have more pictures from the corner/side with the lights on and off? Would love to see more angles... seriously considering it
