Driver's seat loose?

Hello,

I have a brand new 2018 1500. If I step on it a bit hard at a light, I feel the driver's seat backrest move a little along with a click. I think something is loose or broken in there. Has anyone experienced this before and suggest a possible fix?

My 14 express mechanical seat would pop when taking a right turn.
The pop would go right up my ass.

It took a while but the dealer finally had to replace the lower part.

I would get it replaced before it gets worse.

My 16 sports CC feels the same way. When I asked the dealer they said they are aware of the problem but there is not a fix. I said, "Thanks a lot".

My '14 Express also makes a pop under the driver's seat when making right hand turns. I just ignore it. . . I have looked under the seat numerous times to see if anything is loose - nothing from what I can tell.

My 17 feels the same way. No noise but sometimes you feel it move

I would bring it to the dealer and at least have a record of this issue in their computer.

i had the powered driver seat replaced in my 2016 at roughly 15,000miles i think under warranty, as it would move 3/8-1/2 under breaking/accelerating. the replacment parts are doing the same thing at 36,000.....

Thank you all for your replies. I will have it looked at whenever I visit the dealer next, most likely at my next oil change in a few months. It’s is not a pressing issue at this time but I will make sure I will update this thread with the outcome.

my 2018 Laramie with 8500 miles has started doing it too but my wife's 2018 Laramie with 3500 miles on it is not! I would like to get it fixed but they the dealer might screw up something else.there is a youtube video showing a plastic washer missing that can cause it

Mine started around 70k. It would pop when turning. No big deal but that pop would go through ahole right my spine.

Dealer replaced lower track.

Picked up a used 2018 recently and noticed the seat moving a notch back with reasonable acceleration. Seems like it's coming from the Top seat portion (reclining). It's a power seat as well if that helps. Not the end of the world, but would prefer it to be solid. Saw this thread was a little dated. Anyone had the problem successfully fixed? If so, was it a simple or a "process"?

Any wording to use with the dealership to save time and effort?

Any advice is appreciated. Enjoying the forum. Great info.

Only 21K miles. Hope they will attempt to correct under Warranty, but haven't discussed with them yet. Given the discussion, it seems the problem isn't necessarily unusual.
