They are starting to look like cars. Toughness looking is gone. Bad move in my opinion.

If in fact it is true that the 19's are in fact 4" longer than previous 4th Gen trucks, does this cause any problem to any of you regarding whether the truck will fit in your garage? My 16 Sports 4x4 is really close in my garage and I don't think I've got 4" to play with.

This^ plus the 2019 is reported to be taller as well. Last trip to Savannah I barely cleared the ceiling in the public parking facility!

I don't care for that filler piece either. The headlights are to tiny for that area. Also, the additional lower and upper chrome strips by the grille are to busy and unneccessary. They should have made those two strips part of the grille. Sometimes less is more. Just my thoughts.

^^^. I totally agree with you which is why for my trucks I only grab what I need build wise. Then as I decide as I go on what’s missing I add to it. The only way that front area in my opinion will look good is if it’s all black and subdued.

Those squinty headlights on the silver truck are the single most thing I don't like. The "regular" style headlights, like on the black truck and rebels are much more tolerable.

Had a chance to check one out a few days ago. The interior upgrades of the 2019 are impressive but the exterior lacks the "rig" look I prefer. Recently traded my 09 in for a 17.... glad I didn't wait it out for a 5th Gen... not my cup of tea.

I agree that the limited headlights dont really fit the scale of the truck. But almost everthing else with the redesign looks awesome. Best new truck for the money.

Indeed it does. For a quad cab with longer bed or crew cab with shorter bed, I'd have about 2" max between the front bumper and the front wall of the garage, and the same on the rear between the rear bumper and the garage door. It's a ****** too-small garage, but that's way too close for comfort.

I have been checking dealerships for one with 4 wd and a 3.92 rear gear for tow capacity but only find the 3.21 with 6100 lbs tow cap.

You are correct, but I think it's worth pointing out you're also going to pay about $7-8k under MSRP for a 2019. My MSRP was $60k, I'm paying $53k
WOW, Looks like I'll be hanging onto my 06 for a long time to come. They don't rust down here in Central FL and I can do a LOT of custom work for that kind of money. Maybe even a 6.4 crate hemi?

just validates my decision to grab that 17 at 18k off....... Is the new truck better? YES IT SHOULD BE, would I buy one if in the market YES but nothing here that I feel im missing to have waited and paid more and I hate the front end. It wouldn't keep me from owning a Ram but getting rid of the crosshairs just to get rid of them is a mistake. having two options like the last model was fine at least you could choose....

Agree with everyone here. That front end of the silver one is weird lookin. I LOVE the Rebel but I wouldn't buy a brand new designed truck. I'd wait at least 3 yrs for most of the bugs to be eliminated.
