My 2002 Dodge Ram has a freshly rebuilt transmission and I've encountered a problem where the engine runs fine but upon takeoff it high revs before taking off and won't shift into high gears. I've had two shops tell me to replace the ecm/pcm , so I tried that with a remanufactured unit flashed specifically to my vehicle. With the new unit it still won't shift and the gauges aren't working. Any ideas or advice will be appreciated.

It still needs to be programmed with the tcm (transmission control module) those shops should have told you that.

Oh crap yeah nobody has mentioned that at all. Any idea if that's gonna be a dealership ordeal?

Find a different shop that's familiar with these dodges, ask if they have the dealership grade programming equipment. Then there's always going to dealer and paying double.
