Heard a lot about Efans from my buddy. Anyone install on a Ram? Is it worth the cash? Looking for mod ideas...

I had one on my 11. Nice mod. If you go this route, get a real Mopar fan. More money but much better quality. Less noise as well.

P018c

My 2013 1500 recently threw a P018c code for fuel pressure sensor, it says to change the fuel rail, my question is should I just let a mechanic handle it for about $200-$500 or is it easy enough to fix on someone's own?

I cant remember exactly what year the cut off is. but you can remove your clutch fan, and reprogram your stock efan. you already have an efan in your truck, just only certain years can be reprogramed. there kinda hard to see, but its there. but like for my 2010 I did just that. I didn't need to install an after market one. I just used my tuner to lower the temps so I comes one around 195 degrees. but I also would recommend to put in a 180 t-stat. that will also help from overheating. 90% of the time my efan isn't even running because the t-stat is keeping the engine cool. normal driving on a normal sunny day my temp hovers around 185 degrees

I converted my 13... much nicer...cleans up bay! I went with an ATI dampener pulley when I did mine. I installed 180 stat and bought oem 2012 v6 efan...plugged right in and worked without a tune even. I run it both ways... truck runs hotter without the tune...hits about 212 or so...with my hemifever tune which is programmed for the fan truck runs dead at 185. Highly recommend the oem fan.

How do you like the ATI pulley? I had a pulley on my 05, not sure what brand or % but my lights would dim at night if my AC was on with all stock electronics. Been looking at the ATI for some time. It would be nice to free up a few HP and add a high quality damper.

Love it... haven't had any trouble as far as dimming....its 15% underdrive...I also have a killer stereo system with 2 large amps and a sub and always drive with my lights and fogs on....still on my stock battery as well. No trobles with power....as my bighorn has the tow package and the heavy duty alternator as well 180 amp I think. If you are gonna drop the fan and install 180 Tstat and efan it's the perfect time to get it done!

With the OEM fan do you need a different size belt as well or with the pulley does everything stay the same, just no fan to turn?

Sorry guys...been a little busy...I bought fan from an online oem mopar parts dealership. I searched the part number for the cheapest I could find. There was an online dealership in Maryland forgot name but there are many, they had the cheapest with ship for me. I defiantly recommend oem fan...I bought a cheaper amazon fan and shipped back. The oem is the way to go with this. Quiet as can be without any vibrations...often I have to listen for it. Also need to do 180 stat and if you can swing it ATI dampener pully completes this mod! Belt is smaller look in the ATI thread it lists the size. Matt at Moes knows size belt as well. I bought gates brand from Napa. My dealership removed oem clutch fan and installed the pulley as well.:roflsquared:
