I have a 2001 1500 with the 5.9, I have a tick coming from my engine that I can hear through the exhaust every time I step on the gas. It gets faster and slower as I press and release the gas pedal, bothers the **** out of me. Anyone have an idea of how it can be fixed ?

It sounds like an exhaust leak to me which of course could stem from a number of issues lol. Check around your exhaust joints (header, downpipe, cat, muffler) and see if there are any visible holes or if the sound intensifies. Otherwise it may be head noise (rockers, lifters, valves).

I have the same thing happening and I'm 95% certain it's a blown exhaust manifold gasket. I had a cat-back job done when my catalytic plugged a while back but unfortunately the plugged cat seemed to have left it's mark...
