Has anyone replaced their single exhaust with factory dual exhaust without changing bumpers? I have a 13 Outdoorsman that has standard exhaust and want to upgrade. Just curious if the dual setup will fit without the cutouts in the bumper. I have found a dual setup on CL for sale cheap and I want to use the factory stainless pipe.

I did, didn't like the look so I had turn down behind the bumper and then I didn't like the sound so I'm now back to the side exit lol

I did this on my '15. Clears the bumper, no problem. You'll need to get a couple of hangers to hook up the new exhaust.

I removed the stock single exhaust. Since the truck is fairly new this was easy. Loosened all the clamp bolts. Sprayed a little WD40 penetrant at the joints and used a small amount of white lithium grease on the hangers. Slid the rubber isolators off and was able to twist and pull the pipes and muffler off.

I bought the following parts to install the dual pipes: Isolator 52103718AB. This is the one that attaches to the double hanger. It goes on at the rear near the end of the tailpipe.

Isolator 52103717AB. This is the one for a single attachment.

It goes on above the axle and hooks up to the hanger below. Hanger 52122572AA and bolt 06104390AA. The single exhaust trucks don't come with this hanger so it has to be added.

The hanger is kind of a PITA to attach as it's on top of the frame rail. The clearance is tight and you can't see what you are doing. Also notice in the photo that there is a portion of the hanger bent like a spoon on the end that needs to fit into a slot in the frame rail. I forgot to get a good pic of this hanger before the install, but you'll see what I mean if you look at the part. It takes a little patience to get this in since you can't see what you're doing, but it won't fit if you don't get it right and it indexes the bolt hole. This was the hardest part about the whole install.

Swine, any chance you can show a pic of what the finished product looks like from the rear of the truck? Thanks for the info!

I can't find a side profile picture but this one, as you can see it doesn't look very good from the side

I ran my factory dual exhaust with my non cutout bumper for a year while waiting to find a good deal on a take off dual exhaust bumper. Just keep an eye on craigslist, that's how I found mine.

You could still get the dual system, with the right hangars, and have a shop take off a portion of the tailpipes and turn them down with a bevel cut if you don't want to see them out past the rear bumper.
