So I just did the center console install. With the longer radio bezel comes the 115v plug on the right side. I'd like to install the power inverter to complete the setup. I have the switch bank and have a stock inverter lined up. Here is where I need help.

I don't have the plug behind the dash for the inverter. Can someone snap a picture or 2 or 3 of the plug plugged into the outlet and unplugged? I need to see what it looks like and what the wire colors are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Went and pulled mine apart for ya. The plug for the in dash 110v outlet is a small orange plug that has 6 pin oulets, only the 2 on the left side are used, the top pin is green with an orange stripe, the bottom pin is solid green.

The plug on my switch bank has 12 pin slots with only 4 being used (I only have the 110 outlet, hazards, tow/haul, and traction control). The top left pin is black/green, the top 2nd pin is white/green, the top 3rd pin is white/black, and the bottom right pin is red.

As a note, when I say top, I'm referring to the side with the clip release and looking at the pin side (like in the pic). Sure you figure that out but just wanted to clarify.

Ya that's perfect. Another question. Can anyone tell me what color wires are for the glovebox light? I don't have one and I just tore my dash apart looking for it. I can confirm that the above pictures worked perfectly and I'll be able to install the inverter.

If you don't have the power inverter yet I'd get a good aftermarket one with plenty of amps/watts, the one's that come stock in our Ram's are pretty much worthless for anything more than a laptop or cell phone charger.

Going for the 100% stock look and operation. No need for any more power than 150watts.

You can still keep the stock look and operation, just a little wiring is all. Good luck in any case!

Yes and no. You can't use the button on the dash to activate the plug. Do you have a step by step or example of someone wiring in a bigger unit?

I think I'm going to forgo this mod/install for now. I can't find a dealer that will flash sales codes for less than $125+ tax around here. That is insane for a 10 minute job.

Sorry, can't help you there but I see no reason why you can't wire it into the button on the dash, it's just wiring. I did put a power inverter into a Rubicon jeep I had but then it was a clean slate, didn't have to wire the button since there was none so I put my own in, everyone thought it was a factory item.

The buttons on the switch panel are momentary and activate the relay via the computer.

Cool, did not know that.

Ya. Really annoying how Dodge did everything through the computer. Ford got it right with the flip switches in the dash of all their trucks.

Did you take the bezel off the inverter and remove the screw?

115v outlet on bezel

I wanted to see if anyone successfully has installed the outlet on a truck that didnt come with this option. I bought the radio bezel with the outlet and the push button control, bought the oem power inverter w/ harness to attach to plug under passenger seat. I installed all plugs to the back of each connector went to push button and still no power. I checked all fuses and still no luck. Help!!!!!!!!!!!
