I just bought a new 2017 Big Horn w/Hemi. My question is it came with plastic covers over the location where the tow hook would go. I would like to install a bull bar grill guard that uses the tow hook mounts, are the mounts there when I remove the plastic covers? Will a bull bar interfere with the front parking sensors?
Thanks

You can install OEM recovery hooks on a truck that did not come with them, many have done it. You can either cut a hole in the existing plastic or you can actually buy the proper OEM bezel and replace it. Someone else may chime in with part numbers.

The grill guard will probably sit in the way of the parking sensors and cause them to beep. You could disable them every time you start the truck, may be a bit of a PITA though.

I think above poster didnt answer your first question, yes the mounts are there and as he said you can install tow hooks but yes you can also use the mounts for the guard. He is right that it will interfere, and you can either turn them off manually as noted, or somehow cut the circuit from them ever coming on, but imo thats a waste of a feature we paid for.

A bull bar grill guard will interfere with the sensors.

I used an NFAB light bar on my 2014 that didn't interfere with the front sensors, it bolted to the tow hook mounting locations and I used the OEM tow hooks with the bar. But all I was looking to do was install more lighting on the front of the truck.

Regarding the 2018 2500 SLT front grill. Did not come with tow hooks. So I have four holes on each side that I suspect the tow hooks would have bolted to. Would anyone know if there is a OEM or aftermarket cover that either bolts in or snaps to cover that area?

Is there a difference in the newer trucks? I only had to disable mine once (2014) and they stay off unless I press the button again.
