Floor Console removal

this floor console is useless to me. does anyone know if you can just remove it and if so how.

Lift up the rubber mat inside the console. There are 2 bolts that screw to floor. Forget what size they are off the top of my head.

I removed mine and replaced it with a mini console from a power wagon. The two screw locations are in the same place. The front part normally clicks into the dash, but my Tradesman has a drawer and a different dash closure panel, so I trimmed mine slightly and it sits on the floor just fine, is screwed in and doesn’t move. You’ll gain three cup holders and a couple of compartments.

Once removed there will be two quarter sized holes in the carpet where it bolts to the floor if you don't replace it with anything.

I traded the truck in last month, this is the best image I have. I got the console from eBay, if you buy it from Mopar it's in multiple parts and way to expensive. I had to trim the back where it meets the dash. Also, on the bottom side there is some plastic "framework", you'll have to trim some of that away so it sits level.

Here's one on ebay, but it's missing the rear piece towards the dash, and you'd have to buy the missing storage insert unless you have a floor 4wd shifter. I had to buy the same storage insert.

ah ok. i have a 2012 with jumpseat and was looking into doing the full console swap, i just dont know the compatible years
