Few years ago, I bought speakers for my front doors. I could not find 6x9's to fit without hitting the window hardware inside the door. I have manual windows. Any members have any recommendations on which 6x9's would fit?

Right now I have 5 3/4" in doors with a kit I bought from Crutchfield. I'm not happy with them so I'd like to put 6x9's back in.

I also have powers and rockford 6x9s in both my doors, never had clearance issues just buggy wiring from cheap connectors. Of course if you have the infinity amps along with them, it may cause some clearance issues but relocation of the amps wouldn't be to hard

The problem I have with the 6x9's is the depth of the speaker. The magnet rests up against the window guide. It s a metal rod. I don't have the Infinity system, glad I don't have to deal with that.

Problem using those mounts is that, even a 1/4" spacer between the door and speaker. the door panel will be up against the speaker.

By shallow mount moparmagic means the actual speaker design, not spacers. Shallow mount speakers are designed thinner than full size speakers and would be a viable solution to clearance issues. I Believe the design of my rockford a are shallow mount, after I get home I'll see about getting a link.

After checking out the link provided, I am interested in these speakers. Does anyone have these installed & do they perform well? I have a 2001 Ram 2500 Quad V-10 4x4.

As posted I have those speakers in my doors and love them. Especially if you still have factory infinity amps. Really clean component speakers with good sound.

You definitely need shallow mounts. I had the same problem with my speakers. I've got some JL Audio shallows in my doors and not a problem. Big improvement from factory too.

I have these in my truck
2 Kenwood 600W 6x9

They sound great, and they don't hit the window assembly. One of my best buys

Wish i would have read this thread before buying and installing my speakers.

These do not fit in with power windows.

I mean, i got them in using washers between the speaker mounting and the door, otherwise the window hits the back of the magnet. BUT, now with the washers, the door panel is being pressed out. They sound good, but not fitting correctly. WOrst part is i threw away the box and speaker grills so don't know if i can return them. May just put em in the back doors and order those rockford's for the fronts

Gotcha, i have an NA, so 6.5's. But i did manage to swap speakers to the Rockford Fostgates. Fit is no problem now, however these lack soooo much bass compared to the pioneers. SO, i'll be adding an amp and sub in the near future. But still sounds better than the infinity speakers did.
