Dang....my 5.7, 3.92, 6 spd gets 10-11 towing a 6500# camper........drops to 9-10 in the mountains hills around here

My boat @ 3500# is ~13-14 mpg

I got exactly the same with my 1500 Quadcab (5.7/3.92). Weights were almost the same too (6300 camper, 3300 boat). When I towed them all together (boat behind camper) I would normally get 6-7mpg.

What tires are you guys all running? Figured my Toto at2 295/60R30 is probably causing my bad fuel mileage while towing. They look great but much heavier than the passenger size tires that were one it

I leave for Carolina Rebellion on Thursday. I'll let yall know how my truck tows this 27' travel trailer. My '13 would only get about 9-10 MPH, but it was a 6 speed w/ 3.55 gears.

What do y'all think I'll get towing a 2500# travel trailer, 500# of "stuff" with 350lbs in the cab?

3.6L 4x4 with 3.21 final drive.

Who else will be in the cab with you? Their weight counts too. What is your payload limit? What is the trailer gvwr and actual weight? Too many unknowns for me to give you any thoughts at this point. With the info you provided, yeah you should be ok, but you should know your weights

That seems squatted hard in the rear. Are you down on the bump stops? Are you using air bags or anything.

That rig is a monster! Very nice though

I think length (and height) is a big factor in MPG. I get 9-10 towing a 32' Travel Trailer. On a CAT scale it weighs 5900 lbs.

The 350lbs is the total weight of the three people in the cab. Trailer is 2500# dry with an axle limit of 3500#. We will have 400# of "stuff" in the trailer and 100# of stuff in the bed forward of the rear axle so that it doesn't affect tongue weight.

Wow, you guys must be very thin! Lol! Hey that's good though!

Well if your rig is 3500 gvwr and those are your weights then I tink you'll be fine. I'd still use wdh and at least friction sway control for more stability, but those weights should be no problem for your truck in my opinion anyway. Good luck and happy camping!

One of us is only 5 years old. :)

The original question was about expected MPG. I'd like to know if I need to remortgage my house for gas or not.

I'm not familiar with the V6 per se, but I'd plan on somewhere in the low teens towing. I was actually pretty impressed with my 2500/6.4.. on a trip last year, loaded heavy for a week long trip I got 12 mpg average. I thought that was pretty good!

I was hoping for 15mpg, but these recent discussions have scared me a bit. The trailer is aerodynamic and light...so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I could live with 13 or 14mpg though :) Thanks for the reply.
