I do a lot of highway so I opted for the 6 cyl. I know, the Hemi Gods are frowning. Seems someone is always but no worries. Mileage was touted at 23mpg on my 2018 flex fuel 3.6L crew BigHorn 4x4. It gets it. Driving around town hauling sheet goods towing a trailer brings it down some. Never below 16 year. I love my truck. Ive had 2 Ford F100s ‘55 & ‘64, a GMC 2500k and a 4cyl Tacoma. None compare even slightly to my Ram.
Did I mention I love my truck?

Well to update my MPG for anyone who cares lol As mentioned before I was averaging around 21 MPG per the display by hand about 20. V6 Pentastar! Found a gas station with Ethanol Free gas so gave it a shot now about 22.8 mpg ,by hand should still be about a 1 mpg difference! But to me proves the the estimate of a 10% loss in mpg with ethanol fuel is proven ! SO we drop 2/3mpg with ethanol for the environment but burn 10/15% more fuel :O where is the savings ? lol

I think my 17 PW motor is finally broke in.
15,565 miles.
I went from 10.5 to 11.5 mpg around town.
Could be I finally learned how to drive it.

My Hemi is in the shop, and the dealer gave me a rental ( v6 ), first time driving one, and i hate it. I'm getting 17.5 ( mostly city driving ) average. It's meh, but still pretty ******.

I wonder what other mileages people are getting with their other random vehicles that aren’t Power Wagons? Tapatalk has ruined this thread.

In a quite dated July 1957 Reader's Digest of which I can no longer find, a fuel economy challenge using several vehicles and different drivers took in account the weight of the vehicle to determine the fuel economy. So it was basically the tonnage moved per gallon of gasoline measured over the same long distance drive.

The Power Wagon includes the extra weight of a winch, the largest gas engine, lockers, sway bar disconnect, 33" to 37" tires, and right down to having even more gear teeth on the differentials. So besides the beast of off road capabilities, it still does great in the gasoline fuel economy considering that it weighs in at over 3 and 1/2 tons.

Driving down to tx from nj. was 25-26 the entire way, until I hit the mountains, 2 hours of up and down dropped me to 23.

18' power wagon with just over 2k miles on it

Non-towing = 11.5 - 12.8 depending on how I drive (hand calculated)
towing our 5k lb trailer = 11 on mostly flat terrain.

4.10 gears, 6.4L

Im not worried about the mpg at all. I mean i live in miami, no boat or trailer to tow, i dont go offroading or basically i dont really do anything truck worth lol ohhh and i only drive ti to work and back which is about 5 miles daily. Please can someone explain to me why my mpg only goes from 9.3 to like 9.7. I have the retrax cover so that should help. I do have 35s, thuren overland front and k&n intake. What am i doing different guys. I only have 2000k in about 6 months of ownership. Will it get better after first oil change? Again im not worries about cuz all i have had is trucks cuz i love them and i had a chipped 2012 ram 3500 before pw which gave me 16. But i just want to make sure my truck is not damaged since all you guys talk about 11s and 12s

If all your mileage is short city trips, you’re in the ballpark, especially on 35s.

I'm on a small island where the maximum is 30 klm, lots of hills and stop signs so mileage sucks , although on highway was impressed especially when it was bone stock . my raminator is a work horse so I wasn't worried about the smiles per gallon in the beginning , and now after some mods at least she looks good while I'm filling it up at the pump

i live in fort lauderdale, and mostly go to and from work in deerfield and drive around on weekends. i drive like an ****** and you must too. i have a cover, 35s, and mild thuren lift.

i always get on it when not necessary and like to drive fast and stop hard when i drive alone. this nets me about 9.5 average.
yes, we can get up to 18 MPG on highway with a tail wind, but unless you drive always looking for the eco light...its not going above 10MPG.

i find if im with my gf, dont shift to 6th, and let eco and mds do its thing, the truck will creep up to that 12 mpg average, but its not realistic.

driving aggressive nets you average under 10, driving like a grandma and maybe youll average 12 by hand

35's and lift is why you are getting that.

I had a 2013 Power Wagon (all stock except a retrax bed cover). My mileage was around 11-12mpg average give or take. The best I ever saw was probably mid 13's (never did any long highway trips with it). I knew it was going to get poor mpg but what I didn't expect is how often I would be stopping at the gas station with that small fuel tank. Drove me crazy. Awesome truck but eventually traded in on a diesel.

In January my girlfriend and I went down to NYC (9.5hour drive) and got to 15L/100km and if my conversion is correct thats 15.5 mpg. I did 67-72mph most of the way on I-90, and I forget the other main highway I took south.
At this point the truck was 100% stock. Now with the 35s on and I drive quite a bit (44k on the Truck) and i am getting 17.5L/100km(13.5mpg?) . I bought this truck for its badass looks and to have something that I can take places that other people can't.

Most of the Power Wagon’s have 4.10 gears.
Side note;
Real Power Wagons have a black painted lower body.

What tires are you running? Are these number hand calculated?

MJockey, 285/75/17 factory tires. Made a trip to Michigan from North Carolina via US 23 the whole way (Kingsport, Tn over the mtn).
When I pulled back in the driveway the dash said 18.4.
