Mods, WTH? Figured I’d share the “interesting” page that came up while I was logged in and clicked on “4th Gen...”

I did take a screenshot as proof but am following forum rules and won’t post it here.

The site that came up rather then the 4th Gen Forum Page was (NSFW!!):

Mobile device is an iPhone running latest update and Safari.

Well duh, I kinda figured that'd happen but needed to pretty much make it so you all could see the issue.

    Kewl! :favorites13:

Part of me went, :naughty: hmm is this a problem, seeing as the kids and boss weren't around? :roflsquared:

Seriously though, for that to come up under the mobile browser, no bueño.

Who controls what shows as pop-ups under mobile browsing because honestly I see pop-ups (no, pun intended in this case, hehe-he-hehe "POP UPS") happen on a friends mobile browser and IIRC for that board (Toyota 4wd) he's a paying member. Advertiser got hacked, lazy and didn't monitor the links a payer gave, er wut?

Wonder if its from ads? What sites are you guy being redirected to? List them here without the url type link.

Im not gonna put time into listing a site name when I can just out the advertisers causing the issue.

Example, just logged in, clicked on this section of the board, a full screen advert pops up and immediately redirects us to http://us.2074.date/amz/amz.php?bra...e Safari 11&isp=Service Provider Corporation#

Yes, us, as-in two people sitting drinking coffee and we each got the same result. Me logged in and the wife not.

We had a similar issue on another board and it was v-bulletin based.

Admins need to break people off. If this is a situation that the only people who aren't affected are those who are financially in that’s pretty weak. Im not trying to point a fonger here but this is getting stupid. We cant even use a mobile browser. The resulting page bump url lists our phone models, our ip, and our server, etc. LAME.

Maybe I should pay in as a supporting member just to be able to tell the advertiser doing this to eff off.

I get why sites need supporting funds but not at the price of enjoying the site and having to sit here going “WTF!?” and be a tattle tale.

I have it setup so the resulting link I’ve pasted won’t publicly show everything but any mod, admin, or reply quoting it will show the data before you post it out.

Gotcha. Understood. Replying just now I had to go back in because instead of letting me reply it took me here:

It is definitely confined to the mobile version of the site. I use the full desktop version even on my phone and I have not had this happen once.
