So within the next few months Ill be doing some things to better my mpgs. Right now with my current set up, I only average 12.5 mpgs and thats with babying it! Im going to swap out to some AT tires, probably the 275/65/20 Falken Rocky Mountain ATS..as my truck is pretty much a pavement queen. A little smaller, lighter, and less aggressive than my Nitto Trails! Plus they are about $500 less per set than my Nittos! Ill also be getting a tuner, probably a Bully Dog! I hope the switch will boost my mpgs to somewhere around averaging 16-17 mpgs!...Would a cai be a noticeable difference as well? I do have a drop in k&n filter now....any other tips or advice please let me know..thanks guys!

    Stay off the skinny pedal.
Good luck man, that tire swap should help.

For all they money you are going to spend on tires and a tuner you will never make back in gas savings. I don't get why people want to spend a lot of money to get better gas millage in a big ass truck lol. Want good gas millage buy a prius.

I know man..but something's got to give lol..I think tires are a smart choice as my truck rarely sees mud..changing tires alone will probably save me 1-2 mpgs!

It would take 20 years to make back the $1000 savings on new tires that get you only 1-2mpg better though. Not worth it in my opinion.

I'd either sell my current tires or when it comes time for new ones just do the switch then

also have to consider the wear on the tires. the new ones probably wont wear out as fast i bet. so that should save some money too. you should also get your tires filled with nitrogen. should help with the weight of the tires. I would say yes to getting a cai that will help, especially with the tuner. also the magnaflow you have will help with the cai and tuner.

but it would be cheaper to buy a $2000 honda
