Does anyone know all the locations of grounds that could cause feedback (whining in time with motor rpm) through the stereo? Thanks

Do you have a factory stereo? Aftermarket Deck?
Full blown system with amplifiers etc...
Likely, the grounding strap between your block and chassis is no longer effective and is allowing ignition noise back through the system.

Aftermarket stereo plugged into the factory harness (no wire splicing).
