Ok long story very short.
01 1500 4x4, had a trans from a 98 4x4 put in. Well it runs but it want shift right b/c wrong trans with wiring harness an computer. So if I swap the harness an computer ( an other stuff injectors o2 etc) in theory every thing should work right with the trans.

Am I right in my thinking? Tired of my truck sitting an can't use it. Ready to just part it out if this doesn't work.

**** duh my bad. You'll need the tcc/od solenoid group to go with. That's what has the plugs on it. Also not too awfully hard. SUPPOSED to drop valvebody to swap that but it doesn't need to come all the way out. You can pull the 10 bolts and let it hang by the park rod
