what are the OEM pressure settings? I have my 2015 2500 set at 55 psi front and 60 in the rear. No warnings or alarms. Never been to the dealer to reset my TPMS thresholds. Now I'm curious if the dealer went a head and did this already before I took delivery.

I am getting the impression that the TPMS threshold settings for late 2014 and 2015 model year production were lowered at the factory.

Man am I glad I found this post!! I've been looking everywhere for this fix since I bought my 2500 last year. I've been putting off getting new tires because of this pain in the a$$ tire PSI issue. Hopefully my dealer who will do this for me AND Ram hasn't messed with anything in their system that will inhibit from being done. They lowered the thresholds when I first bought the truck, but the sensors still tripped. Step 2 wasn't done then so I assume that's why. Hope to have this done this week!

Hope you have better luck then I did.
None of the stealers around here will do it.

Mines a small town dealership that I have a good rapport with. They already tried once so hopefully they will try this method!

My light has been on for a few weeks now, it is what it is. Says to set to 80psi min rear, they are at about 70-71psi......there are no gas stations around here with machines that go above 70psi. Every small compressor I buy just burns out and my compressor for my nail guns are 250 miles away right now.......

So I live with the lovely light.

I can live with the light. It's my EVIC changing to the tire inflation screen showing red tires every startup that gets on my damn nerves.......
Agreed! I feel like I'm going to wear out the buttons on my steering wheel!

Well I stopped by my dealership and they did it. So far so good. The tech that did it said they had done it before and the computer reset the threshold on its own. I don't think he knew what he was talking about because he read over the instructions about 5 times. I just think he didn't want to admit that a customer might have showed him something that he didn't know how to do....
NOW my tire options are wide open!!!!

I just picked up my 2500 on Saturday. Before I left the dealership I wanted to go ahead & have this taken care of. Well according to the Service Manager he could do it on the 14' & 15's but had to call Chrysler first to be able to do it on my 16'. Has anyone else experienced this or am I just getting the run around? :shakehead:

Couldn't or wouldn't. My dealership did it on my 2014. If they say it's not possible they're lying.

I tried to have mine done last week and the option was no longer there, so thanks FCA!

Edit:
I just called ram customer care to complain and the lady said she had just talked with a service writer about this issue a few weeks ago and she claimed it was a glitch with the new witech software that is being rolled out and it would be fixed in a couple weeks, so if anyone else wants to call and complain and see if they get the same story have at it!
